Job Description

A global asset manager is seeking an experienced company secretary in Mumbai:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle statutory filings, registrations, records maintenance and correspondences with the relevant regulatory authorities and government departments to ensure compliance with statutory laws and regulations
  • Organise and handle all matters relating to the Board meetings, Shareholders meetings, various committee meetings and other corporate secretarial matters
  • Handle corporate governance matters
  • Liaise with internal parties, including Legal, Compliance, and Finance Team, and external parties
  • Reviewing contracts including commercial contracts and service contracts
  • Contribute to the group's global Legal departmental initiatives
  • Assisting other global corporate secretarial members and/or legal team members with governance of special purpose vehicles for investment funds domiciled ex-India
  • These responsibilities will require close coordination with the colleagues in different regions, mainly US, UK, HK, and Japan

To apply you must have:

  • 5+ years of experience in handling Company Secretarial matters;
  • LLB degree preferred;
  • A qualified Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly organized and efficient with ability to multi-task and prioritize work;
  • Good problem solving ability;
  • Proactive, possess initiative, common sense with attention to detail;
